The printing machine manufacturer from Beerfelden (Germany), which was well known in the industry under the name Edelmann Graphics GmbH, was taken over by the Turkish Umur Group in 2011. At this time, the name was changed to “Edelmann Printing Machines GmbH (EPM)”.The Edelmann company was founded in 1953.

Production range: format-variable web printing machines from 430 to 760 mm sheet width and of 11“ to 48” cylinder circumference.

Industries: continuous forms, sheet forms, mailings, general job printing, package leaflets, sticky notes, labels,  folding boxes, shrink-sleeves, security printing.

With approx. 1,000 employees, the UMUR Group, based in Istanbul, is one of Turkey’s 500 largest companies. Its main area of activity are a printing plant and the manufacture & distribution of school and office supplies. With over 25 years of experience in the printing industry, the UMUR Group has been able to firm up its position in the industry even further with the purchase of EPM. With more than 20 purchased printing machines, it is still Edelmann’s largest customer. This development makes it possible for the company – as owner of the machine building company and at the same time as a client as a printing plant – to pursue a vertical integration and support EPM as a strong family business. The original product ranges for narrow- and medium-gauge web offset and hybrid machines are continued almost without any changes.
